Dancing with Sarah

Max visited Ernie and Kate and Sarah. They gave us a cookout and had some birthday presents for Max. But Max's favorite part was dancing to They Might Be Giants with Sarah.

Max wins the Bruce Havens Award

For the last 25 years or so, the Saturday Morning Softball group has been giving out a prize every week for the Most Entertaining Player of the day. Legend has it that it's named after Bruce Havens, someone who played back in the 1980s and apparently was more concerned with keeping his new sneakers clean than with catching the ball. Max won his first Havens Award on August 25th, even though he didn't play and only saw a couple plays in the game.

There might have been some bias in the awarding, as Ronnie makes the call, with advice from Kevin.

So this is the Havens award?

Thanks Uncle Ronnie!

The winner also gets to choose a baseball card to keep forever. Max chose Bruce Havens!

Cool prize!

The winners sign the Book of Havens so that their names will be recorded for posterity

Party at Sebasco

At cousin Bill Bannister-Parker's 50th birthday party at Sebasco, Max danced to the folk music band.

Dancing in the center of the circle
Max was the star of the show, dancing all night with family members.

It was so hot he had to take his shirt off. But that didn't stop Max from winning a toy lobster, the prize for being the Best Dancer at the party!

The fountain near the Aquarium

On Father's Day, Max played in the fountain near the Aquarium, went to watch the seals, and met Sarah and her family for french fries and ice cream. On the way back, we drove through a tunnel and over a big bridge. It was one of the best father's days Max has ever had!

 Running around the fountain:

Max's ancestor built the cricket on top of that Faneuil Hall building.
It's so much fun to run laps around the fountain.

Those other kids are getting soaked, don't they know how to run laps around the fountain?

 Seals! Swimming right by!
